The surroundings of this part of the Treviso region are filled with many historical and art gems. Near to us you can find Conegliano, the city that is buil on the hills where the well known “Prosecco” is produced. You will enjoy the ancient but still well preserved castle too.
A short drive away will lead to other historical cities, such as Oderzo, Sacile, Treviso and Asolo. Enjoy a “passeggiata” on their old cobble-stoned streets and admire the palaces that time has not changed. Then Venice, a unique masterpiece, touched by the lagoon and embellished by the typical gondolas. Venice is a gem: have a walk through the traditional “calli” among the marvellous palaces, or a visit to the museums. Each corner will bring you some magic and if you happen to be there in February, you will be part of the famous Carnival.
If you like the seaside, explore Caorle, Jesolo, Lignano, Bibione and Grado. In Caorle, you will savour the fishermen historical borgo. In Jesolo and Lignano you will find long viali where you can do some shopping, feast on great food, have the traditional aperitivo and then keep on going to experience a whole night out. Go exploring ancient mosaics and Roman archeological sites in Grado and its nearby Aquileia.
Going up, facing the Dolomites, Belluno is well worth a visit. Have some good coffee in the main square. Another fantastic place not to be missed is Cortina. It will welcome you among these majestic mountains: stop in one of the chalets and enjoy some warm tea. Words will not be necessary anymore.
